The replay went well by all accounts…if accounts can be believed. More students got the opportunity to suss out the volcano in Pompeii and the Colosseum in Rome. No one was fed to the lions we hear.
OK, it didn’t have all the hoopla and excitement associated with Italia ’90, but ‘Big Paul’s’ crew did have good craic…and even learned quite a bit on this educational tour of Pompeii and Rome.
School Trip 2008
Grasse, South of France
In April 2008, the Transition Year Students along with teachers Ms. Cunnane and
Mr. Fannin travelled to the Cote D’Azur in the South of France on an exchange with
the Lycee Fenelon in Grasse. Each student was paired with a French correspondent living
in the Grasse area where they spent a very enjoyable week. Excursions to the renowned
perfumery in Grasse and day trips to such beautiful cities as Monaco, Cannes and Nice
were some of the many highlights of the trip. Three weeks after their return, the
students from Grasse visited Galway where they were shown all of the city’s tourist attractions..
